The first century of our era, the Holy Land. The story of a young woman who leaves her native fishing village to follow the new movement. There he will be at the heart of the creation of Christianity.
The story of Jesus Christ has inspired whole generations of filmmakers, from Pier Paolo Pasolini to Martin Scorsese to Mel Gibson. She was told in many different ways in every field of art. But this is a story so rich and open that it is not really a surprise, that it is reached by other artists, such as, for example, Iain Canning and Emile Sherman, producers of the film "Maria Magdalena". Thanks to their idea, we get the story of Christ told from a completely new perspective.

Piękny, melancholijno - przestrzenny film. Daje do myślenia. Bardzo dobrze oddana przez J. Phoenixa samotność w tłumie Chrystusa. R. Mara świetna! Subtelnie pokazała swoje oddanie i wierność Prawdzie.

A nam sie film podobal.Aktor ktory gral Chrystusa trochę starszawy jak na 33 lata ale ma coś w wyrazie twarzy i w oczach.
Sycylia co prawda kiepsko się ma do wybrzeza Galilei ale kto nie byl nie rozpozna:)).
W apokryfach jest duzo wiecej tresci.Tu rezyser delikatnie podal temat-neutralnie.
Mozna zobaczyć-oglada sie przyjemnie.

Film okropny - zarówno pod względem gry aktorskiej, jak i treści. Po Rooney Marze spodziewałem się czegoś więcej, niż, niemalże, kilkuminutowych ujęć jej twarzy. Jeżeli chodzi o Joaquina Phoenixa też przeżyłem rozczarowanie - w roli Jezusa mało charyzmatyczny, jest sobie na planie, jakby od niechcenia. Do tego legendarny polski dubbing *udochowaj Boże* - tragedia.
Wyszedłem z seansu zażenowany i zdegustowany.
Jeszcze na koniec w ramach ciekawostki pragnę dodać, że film został nakręcony na podstawie apokryfu Marii Magdaleny - a nie Biblii ;)
